Yellowstone Cheese is located in Cadott, Wisconsin and opened its doors November 14, 2007. We use 100% real milk – no additives or fillers go into our handcrafted cheeses. Dave Anderson, our cheese maker, brings over 15 years experience to Yellowstone Cheese.
The farm which produces our milk is locally owned by Jeremy and Heidi Kenealy, along with their children Brad and Brooke. We pride ourselves on using milk only from our farm. The Kenealy Farm is a Grade A, BGH Free farm and is located only 200 yards away from the factory. The milk is hauled over in a bulk tank on wheels, where it is then pumped into a pasteurizer and crafted into a variety of flavored cheeses using colby, monterey jack, or cheddar for the base.
The name Yellowstone Cheese was used because we are located on the Yellowstone Trail which is the first automobile route from Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound.
Cadott, Wisconsin is located halfway between the North Pole and the Equator!
